Praise God!!! Feb 12th the president of Haiti called the nation to gather for 3 days of fasting & prayer. I will be in Haiti for the month of July with my World Race team! We will also be in the Dominican Republic for the month of August, doing more earthquake relief & helping out with basic needs such as food, water, clothing & shelter,sharing the gospel, & discipling new believers! There were many Haitians who fled to the Dominican Republic after the earthquake & refugee camps can be seen throughout both countries. Please keep my team & i in prayer as the Lord prepares our hearts to go serve there,camp out in our tents, & love on the people there. Please also pray for the Lord to prepare the hearts of those in Haiti, to receive God’s love & truth if they do not already know Him personally. I am in tears right now after watching this 3 minute video of the revival event. Please watch it!!!
Now that there are many who are turning to Jesus, there is a GREAT need for discipleship & church plants. We want to see them GROW in their walk with God & their faith. We want to raise up leaders in their community so that when our team leaves, the discipleship continues!! My team & i will be playing a part in this! Right after the earthquake struck, Haiti was on the front page of EVERY newspaper. Just months after the tragic quake, they are no longer on the front page. I truly believe that we will be going at a crucial time. Just to be there in person and say “we still pray for you & remember you. You are not forgotten by us & especially not by God.” PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TRIP TO HAITI IN JULY WAS PLANNED PRIOR TO THE EARTHQUAKE. GOD KNEW!!! GOD HAD IT ALL PLANNED OUT. HE IS GOOD, ISNT HE?!!!
I know that when we arrive there & meet the locals, we will hear hundreds, maybe thousands of stories. See injuries. Our hearts will break for the losses/pain they experience. But i do know this. THEY will teach US alot about life. They will bless us as we serve them. I know it will be a double blessing! I look forward to posting pictures up & blogs about my experience there! Stay tunned!!!
