I’ve been thrown a Curve Ball.

I was having a great week at Ignition Training Camp (in Gainesville, GA), we had just finished a day and a half of team building exercises. It was 15 minutes before the staff was going to announce our teams. I was excited. Then another racer came to me and said, “come with me.” We walked into the building upstairs to the conference room and sat down. Then they announced that we were being asked to be a team leader for the January 2010 World Race. I was shocked. I didn’t see that one coming. I looked around the room and knew that each person was qualified but wondered “why me?” Don’t get me wrong, I think I am leader but I just was so surprised; it never had crossed my mind that I would be a team leader for the race. My team consists of six awesome leaders. I can’t help but wonder what is HE trying to teach me? The theme for the last few months and even at training camp has been FAITH. My FAITH continues to be tested as I get closer to the to leaving for the race. Here is just one more example of why I need to trust that HE knows what HE is doing. God will use this to teach me something. Instead of questioning, I need to accept, listen, and learn.
