I have really loved my month here in
Uganda. It’s hard to believe its coming to an end. I have been
immensely blessed by the staff and women here. Here is just a little
sample schedule of my day this past month here in Uganda. You can see
a picture of my hut below. 🙂

12 AM: Wake up to pee, almost fall out
of hammock, dodge giant moth and a twig I thought was a snake on way
to latrine

1 AM: sleep

2 AM: Wake up and curse my bladder,
kill two spiders in latrine

3 AM: Forget I’m in hammock and almost
fall out when trying to sleep on side

4 AM: Wake up and stubbornly refuse to
let my bladder win this round

5 AM: Hear rooster crowing

6 AM: Wonder how rooster could crow for
an hour strait, give in and visit the latrine again, watch one of the
most beautiful sunrises

7AM: Wake up to the chorus of chickens
and crying children. Have discussion with Tyler about which chicken
is the most beautiful

8 AM: Pretend my coffee isn’t instant
and guard breakfast from the chickens,

9 AM: Give bible lesson in chapel, wish
I could dance and sing as well as the women here

10 AM: Hold some of the cutest children
in the world, get peed on, change

11 AM: Get peed on again, think about
how expensive it would be to get a million diapers shipped to the
Ugandan bush, have a child fall asleep in my arms and forget about
all the body fluids on me
