Hello from Ireland!
I am currently in Belfast staying at Fisherwick church. It is an amazingly gracious church that has found the ability to blend tradition while still keeping in step with how the spirit is moving. God must have plans for us here for our previous contact fell through last minute and this church opened its doors to us with less than 24 hours notice. They are letting us stay in the house attached to the church (which looks like a castle in my opinion) and have connected us with ministries in the area. We are working with all sorts of ministries and activities taking place in the church.
Before the month is up I will have worked with several homeless ministries, helped plan and lead youth program and a sunday service, reached out in tea and coffee ministries to those out on streets, paint church, and help church members with some home improvements. My favorite is the SOS bus-which stations itself outside of a busy pub street on the weekend nights and early morning hours. They aren’t about bible bashing, but showing God’s love and mercy through care. Hopefully we will also be able to go to some redlight district areas and try to start some relationships with the women there.
So…that’s my cup of tea update. I will try to start posting more blogs soon. Also…have lots of amazing stories to share about how God showed up in Romania! Lives were saved, people were healed, and freedom was found in the Lord! I just can’t help falling more in love with Him!!!
