The other night I was sitting under the stars in Nsoko,
Swaziland, chatting with a couple of gals on my squad and realized for the
first time all that I have learned in the first 6.5 months on the field.  There are way too many lessons and teachings that
have opened my eyes to who and how great God is. The statement that “God is the
same all around the world” is something that I have finally grasped.  No matter if I am in Swaziland on the World
Race, or in Charlotte, NC, at Caswell, He is the same God with the same powers
and wants great things for His children.
This is something I never really understood although I had heard it from
so many friends who had been on the World Race.
Now, I am reminded daily of His greatness, plan, provision, creation,
and assurance of His hand in my life

I don’t know what each day holds or better yet what the Lord
has for my future but I do know that He is in control each and every second of
the day.  In His control, I find peace
and comfort knowing it will all work out for His glory.  Stress and worrying is something I have
struggled with for a few years, but God has started a great work in me with
this area of my life.   This has come
through understanding that He is in control and that whatever happens, good or
bad, it will all work out for His glory.
I continue to struggle with this daily but I know I see the Lord working
in my life in so many ways.  There are
many stories to testify of this during these first 6.5 months and they all
center around favor and God’s provision for Q squad.

Many of the hh lessons from the first few months have been
about myself and coming to a better understanding of the Lord.  I am thrilled to see what the second half of
the Race holds and what the Lord has for me.
The next leg of this journey I am going to no longer have God in the box
that I have put Him in and I will declare Him to show up in HUGE ways!  I will no longer put limitations on what He
has for me or how powerful He is.

I would like to take this time to wish each of you a glorious
holiday season!  Even though I am around
the world and on a different continent, I think of each of you often.  As I think of ya’ll, I pray for you and ask
the Lord to bless all He is doing right now.
May this season be full of God’s goodness and continual remembrance of
the meaning during this time of year- the birth of His son Jesus, who came to
save us and wash away all our transgressions forever.  I pray each of you take time to reflect on
the reason for the season.  So Merry Christmas
and Happy Holidays from me to you from Africa!
