The next night after we were the Body of Christ to our new brother, he returned to our hostel and brought his partner. My team was on our way out to walk to Camp Joy for evening devotions and a cop car pulled into our hostel. At first we weren’t sure who it was or why there was a cop pulling in. After a few moments, I noticed that it was my new brother who we had ministered to the night before. Sitting beside him was his partner and they were getting off duty. We explained to them that we were on our way to Camp Joy for the evening but would love to chat with them. So I immediately spoke up to ask if they could give us a ride to Camp Joy in the cop car.   My team and I jumped in the back of the car and we were off to Camp Joy. I wanted to turn on the lights and sirens but that wasn’t a good idea pulling into a rehabilitation center. We pulled in and he turned the siren on once, just enough to get the attention of a few ladies. The team piled out and invited them inside.

Little did we know what the next hour would look like; it was a time to pray over his partner and share with her what we had with our brother. When we first walked into the reception area where we gathered, out brother said he wanted us to fix her like we had him last night. Instantly I spoke up and said Jesus used us to empower/encourage him. First we prayed over her and asked how we could be praying for her. She just said the whole situation and everything that she had experienced. My team and I laid hands on her and prayed over her.   She then shared with us what she had experienced and how they had spoken with the families of the lost policemen earlier in the day.   We asked about her and she openly shared with us.

The best part of hearing her story was that she was in the process of adopting a 6.5 month old baby she had found in a sewer drain when she was 2 weeks old. This precious baby had been dropped off and left on its own. Not only is she serving and protecting her community but helping break the poverty cycle. Through this time we had the opportunity to share with her about what we are doing and the World Race.

After an hour of chatting and hanging out it was time for them to head home. We proceeded into Camp Joy for evening devotions with the fellows and gals. I don’t know why the Lord placed these two individuals into our lives or how He used us but He did. It was a very divine appointment and worth every second if they come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. If I am in South Africa for this reason alone to make a new brother and sister, mission accomplished! Even if the whole 11 months is for the reason of this, may God’s name be glorified. I know I have impacted every nation but I feel as if this month the Lord placed me here for my brother and sister. May His name to be glorified and lifted high; through Him choosing to use me everyday on this journey.
