The last 2 weeks have been spent in a local prison; sharing the love
of Christ and what all He has for them.  We went every afternoon
Monday through Friday, the team was split into two teams with half
going on one day and the other half the next.  Evidently this is due
to security reasons or some kind of shenanigans.

My new friend, a brother in Christ.

Each afternoon our scheduled time was from 2:30-3:30pm, we had
complete freedom with what to say and how we wanted this to look.
Immediately we noticed that the prisoners love worship songs and this
was the way we would begin each day.  We would jam to a few songs then
we took time to share our stories and how The Lord brought out of out
sin and into freedom in Him.  Though sharing our stories we were able
to bring scripture to life and explain passages with them.  One day I
was sharing about the greatest commandment:
"And He said to him, 'You shall love The Lord your God with all your
heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the
great and first commandment.  And a second is like it: You shall love
your neighbor as yourself."  Matthew 22:37-39

Through this I was able to set a vision in the jail of how loving one
another could allow their home be a great place to live.

Monday was our last day of ministry and it is great how The Lord
worked this out.  We were told Friday would be our last day but we had
planned to go Saturday to purchase bibles to give out to the
prisoners.  So after talking with the warden he agreed to let us come
on Monday, with our ENTIRE team.  This was so perfect and such a great
way to end our ministry there.  We went in Monday with high spirits
and knew great things were to come this day.  We began with a few
songs, followed by asking who wanted a bible and sharing how to use a
bible.  Hands were raised and we gave them all out.  God truly
provided for us to literally spread His Word at that jail in Cambodia.
They were smiling ear to ear and SO HAPPY!

If you were a part of this, THANK YOU!!  Please be in prayer for each
person who received a bible to read it and understand God's love for
them and for someone to be brought into each of their lives to disciple
them and bring clarity to who God is.
