I am writing to you from the Little Pier at Fort Caswell.

Those of you, who know me, know that I have grown up and worked at a youth camp for 3 summers.  This camp is located on Oak Island, NC, basically where the Lord found me and revealed Himself to me.  I am here for the weekend for a staff alumni reunion, a weekend for 60+ summers of staff to gather and reminisce about our summers at Caswell.  It has been a true blessing to be able to come this weekend and fit it in my crazy schedule, considering I leave in like 4 days!  The Lord provided this weekend and my great friend Madisson Wisher to be my companion.  It is like a circle is being completed this weekend and it is a perfect way to start this new adventure. I have had the opportunity to see many friends whom I have not seen recently.  I also had the chance to share about my adventure and my heart for what I am about to do.

I have had a crazy couple of weeks, all of which have included preparing to leave the country for a year.  Thursday, a week ago, was my last day at work and it was definitely bittersweet.  My coworkers, along with a multitude of customers, sent me off with much support. They comforted me with advice concerning safety and encouraged me to take in every second of this next year.  I spent last Friday getting one last physical before I leave and sharing sweet goodbyes with close friends. Last weekend was a blessed time full of my family and friends. On Saturday, my family surprised me with a Bon Vonage party; this was very sweet and thoughtful of them to put this together. I initially thought I was going to a family gathering and it turned out to be a party for me. Last Sunday I was commissioned out of my church home, what a huge blessing that was. This was a time for my church family to lay hands and pray over me for the next year. What a day it was full of hugs, laughter, tears, and some very hard see you later’s.

This past week I spent the week with 30 first graders at my church from 9am-12pm doing Vacation Bible School.  These kids blessed me so much and reminded me, yet again, of the child like faith I long for daily.  It was most definitely crazy, eventful, and straight up like a rampa room.  With the help of 6 other individuals, we were able to share Jesus with these kids and love on them for the week.  Each afternoon was filled with more see you later’s, packing, getting together final preparations for the Race, and trying my best to enjoy every second with every person.  Friday was the BIG DAY to move… this meant moving out from my first place without my parents and going back to my dad’s.  I had the help of friends and family, which make this physically easy and quick. Although the physical aspect of the move was quite easy, it was hard moving out and realizing that the next year my home will be by my tent and backpack.   I am at a complete and total peace with where I am and so ready for this next journey the Lord has for me.

My first home on my own and now I am all moved out.

This being said, I have a couple of days before leaving for launch which includes time with my parents and saying final goodbyes.  I plan to stay with each of my parents for one night and spend Tuesday with family.  Wednesday is another BIG day that will include heading to Atlanta for launch.  I will spend a couple of days there training a bit more and then off to Thailand goes Q Squad!  I ask that you please continue to pray for Q Squad and me as we begin the Race. I can already see the enemy trying to break me down, but in the name of Jesus have spoken against this and Jesus has remained so ever faithful to these prayers.  As we get on the field, the enemy will be waiting for us and your prayers are ever so important to us.  Again, thank you for your prayers and support of this journey. I cannot believe the time is here to finally be leaving the country for 11 months to go to 11 countries!

Packed and Ready to go!!

I am still in need of $1200 to be fully funded.  So I ask that you pray fully consider supporting me to be fully funded.  I am praying to be fully funded by launch and I believe it will happen, but only with your help and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to each of you.  Thank you again and may God Bless each of you this next year, as I know He will me!
