Well I’m here in Uganda where we are working with Child Voice. I’m sure your wondering what Child Voice is. It’s a home where women that have survived the 2004 Massacre (War) and they came to this center to get help and council. This home is a place where they teach these women everyday life skills and they have chapel everyday and worship every night. It’s a pretty amazing center and the women are amazing. I’m not sure if you currently aware of this war that is taking place but its still continuing and it’s been happening since the 80’s. There is a man name Conni that is going around abducting younger children and brain washing them and having them do horrible things to their families. Conni is using them to be his killing soldiers. The current Massacre from 2004 that happened is actually right down the way from where we are sleeping. We actually visited the memorial the other day where the massacre took place in 2004 in the village. Conni and his soldiers came in and surrounded the village and did horrible things to these innocent people. He would take families and put them all in one hut and light the huts on fire and kill families at one time. He did so many other horrible things to these people in Gulu its crazy. The children he abducts and keeps as his soldiers are the youngest children, but the older ones he just uses them to transport goods and then when he is done using them he will kill. The little ones he uses and brainwashes them to start killing their families and then everyone because they are easier to train. The people here are all in camps not wanting to go home, but have been given a deadline to go him by April 09. The spiritual warfare is pretty thick here. The spirit of sadness along with others spirits are definitely in this place. These women just need a breakthrough between what they went through and the spiritual warfare that is going on here.
I have been spending a lot of time with certain women here and getting to know them and their stories and they are astounding! They are scared though. There is a particular women that I have been talking to and praying with for her voice to come back. About six months ago she had an incident and was attacked by a demon and lost her voice. I have been praying over her to be healed and the Lord is going to heal her in His timing, but it goes deeper within in her spirit and there are some things that need to be worked through and stripped off of her. This is something that I have been really praying about and asking God to help use me to help free these women. I prayed over her today and read Phillippians 2:6-11 to her.
