One of the things I would love to do always is glorifying God in every awakening moment of my life. Last week my team went with another team for a fun day before we left Manila to the beach. One of the things I have been praying for is for God to show me how to glorify Him at all times in my life. Well last week He answered my prayers. The beach that we chose to relax at had a resort area where we hung out and swam. From noticing the people around there were women prostitutes hanging out at the pool with some American men. It was not a definite thing that we knew, but from the looks of it we knew what was going on. Since working with the Samaritan women God has changed my whole outlook of prostitution. These women feel as though they are desperate and don’t know any other way of supporting them and their families. I have a sense of prayer for these women that they are ALL going to have a breakthrough and are going to be saved at one time or another. I was sitting there in the Jacuzzi and just listening to God as He told me to wave my hand and invite them in with me. So my first reaction was “Okay God I’ll do this but you have to give me the words of what to say because I’m clueless right now.” So two of them came over and came in the Jacuzzi with me and I started to talk to them and start asking them questions. At first they were hesitant about telling me where they worked they said “its confidential” but then God did something. They opened up and told me their names, Wendy 21 and Cristina 19 years old and we started to talk about life. They finally felt the trust and opened up and told me what they did for a living. I knew when watching their face reaction that they just did not have the heart for that type of work. I have never been put in a situation where God wanted me to minister in such a way before. I started telling them about Samaritana and why I was over seas. God opened the door for Wendy to want to know more about Samaritana. I explained to her about Samaritana and that there was so much more for her and her life. God has so much more for her! I ended up getting her email address and before we both had to leave she said “I will be waiting for your email” just hearing those words made me so joyful to know that God has saved another soul in Manila.
