As we sat in the little house with our Nepali brothers and sisters, I felt like I had a front row seat to a kingdom moment. I would describe this as a moment where people, tongues and nations are gathered with one united heart beat- a heartbeat of praise. A moment where Gods glory is reflected on earth in the lives of his children. We sat there, blessed and honored to watch the sweet woman and her husband devoting their new house to the The Lord. They sat on the floor unashamedly praising Him for providing for their family. I wanted to capture this spirit filled moment.
The atmosphere of worship and thankfulness had created a tangible joy. I wish I could have bottled it up to preserve the moment and remember it forever. It was truly anointed in the holy spirit. As their young daughter with Down syndrome sat in my lap singing out and raising her hands to praise Jesus, my heart nearly lept within my chest.
Such pure worship. It was a moment I hope to never forget. Someday when I have my first house I want to invite my friends and family. I want to sit them all down and explain how the place where they are sitting is a glimpse of God’s goodness, love and provision in my life. Then I want to sing praises to Him. I want to devote every inch of that house to His kingdom. I hope it will be full of all kinds of people…
Then I want to bless these people like we were blessed this day. Food filling plates and being refilled at any sight of emptiness. A day worthy of a feast because our God provides. As we prayed over the family I watched as tears streamed down each members face… Including their sweet little girl. They get it… they KNOW God and understand his provision and sovereignty. They understand how worthy He is of their praise. They know that He heard their requests and petitions. The woman radiated joy and thankfulness as she explained that as we sat in the house we were sitting on the exact spot of land where she first came to know Jesus Christ.
These are the moments on this journey where I feel like God says “Sweet daughter, I brought you across the world to sit in on this moment. It is a moment of love, joy and praise… a kingdom moment”. What an incredible Father I have, that he would invite me to be a part of such a sacred moment.
