It’s amazing how much we have managed to fit into our schedule this week. We began on Tuesday with a day at Shekin ah. This was the Bible School where we stayed our first week here. The husband and wife who own the school are
beautiful people and we wanted to give back to them a little. We ended up spending most of the morning and afternoon there painting, mowing and helping with various construction projects. The next day we were able to meet with our main contact here in the city who we will be working with these next few weeks. His name is Noe and he has a vision of starting a fellowship/home church here in his community. These past few days we have basically come beside him to support his ministry and inform the community of upcoming events with the fellowship. These next few weeks we will be trying to bring people in and participating in the services in various ways.

Yesterday we were also able to return to the Alcohol Rehab Center that we first visited last week. Jake and I
were able to tour the facilities and learn a little more about their ministry. The men had free time that morning so we were able to start up a big game of volleyball. It was amazing to see the difference in some of the men in the facility. You could literally see the stages that the men were at in their rehabilitation. Some, like a man named Isaac, were incredibly withdrawn and would not even make eye contact or interact with us. Then others, such as Santiago who shared his testimony with us, were laughing and enjoying themselves. It was interesting to observe the various stages of
freedom that the men were experiencing.

Finally, today and tomorrow we have set aside the afternoon to hang out with kids in Noe’s neighborhood as they get out of school. It looks as though we will be playing a
lot of soccer! Fun fun. Continue to pray for us here in Palenque and that the Lord would continue to work in this community and in the Rehab Center in big ways.

I love you all tons and would love to hear from you! Blessings.
