I apologize for not being able to blog as much this month or speak to many of you but then again, I’m not too sorry. The internet was about 2 hours away but it was just a really great month having really nothing.

This was hands down one of the best months of the race ever.  Team Ridiculous stayed in a huge cement block with all of our tents up. We were in the middle of the jungle and we had no electricity or running water. We took bucket showers and experienced squatty potties.  We had each other and it was some of the best times ever.

As many of you know or read, Tanzania was one of the hardest months on the race for me. I was tired. I was tired of doing the race, tired of being a leader, tired of serving, tired of living in community and tired of living this crazy life.

What a blessing that this past month I was completely romanced by the Lord and the God redeemed me and took me out of my misery.

I was actually most hesitant and not excited about Uganda.. Just with what I’ve heard about the Northern Armies and the Invisible Children… but of course God blew me away this month.

This month the ministry consisted of a whole lot of randomness… which you know I enjoy because I am randomness. It was also a shorter month because of preparation for debrief and longer month in Tanzania.

The first week we made school visits. We spoke to children just of God’s love. The second week consisted of door-to-door ministry and visiting members from church just to say hello. The third week consisted of  random visits to people’s homes, meeting the bishop of the diocese and going to a refugee camp. A lot of ministry consisted of going to people’s home for a tea time or a meal. We ate a lot this month.

Needless to say… this month was beautiful. The people we met were beautiful. The way the team worked and loved each other was beautiful. The way I felt God’s love was beautiful. God showing his love for all of us is continuously beautiful.

One of my favorite things is to do my quiet time at sunset… none of these pictures do Bulucheke justice.
