Change is always a good thing. Change
makes me uncomfortable and have to rely on God. The beginning of
last month God really laid it on my heart to be praying for change,
the unexpected and for leadership over and within the squad. Liz
Norris, Noe Rivera and Mike Schuerman were raised up as our new ‘M’
Squad leaders. In this process of transition, Ricki Joy was asked to
do finances and I was asked to step up as a team leader. My prayers
of getting the crap scared out of me and the unexpected were actually
happening. I know that one of my goals this year is to come back
completely changed and God knew that it was time to mix things up.
I will forever be grateful for Trumpets
of One and the lessons learned that God taught me with that group but
in wanting more of Him and desiring his will… He requires more of
us. ….so that required me to step up into that role. I have been in some
leadership positions in the past but for this-I’m having to throw
everything out on what I think I know about leadership and just hear God’s voice and be obedient in that. I know that I am chosen and God
doesn’t give me anything I can’t handle so I just pray that he
constantly carries me through this because honestly said, I have no
idea what I am doing. Along with whatever ministry God calls the team
to, I know that he has now called me to make this new team my
ministry: to serve, encourage, love them and help spur them onto the
greatness that God has destined for each one of them and to really
put their needs and themselves before me. I am so excited and I can’t believe I get to do that! 😉
great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to become
great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first
must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be
served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”– Mark 10: 43-45
