Ten things that happened at Training Camp!

1. Slept in cabins whilst unpredictable weather brewed outside, along with cold showers in desperation to feel an ounce of clean because wearing the same 4 shirts, 3 pairs of pants and 5 pairs of socks couldn’t mask the awful stench that’s built up from the beautiful outdoors.

2. Assume that I have made some raccoon or what sounded like a Pterodactyl yelling- a very happy and hip animal- at the loss of my charismatic, warm and furry hat. Sad day.

3. Experienced life without the joy of a flushing toilet. Hello Mr. Portajohn!

4. Released, broke and buried the chains of vanity, rejection, fear and self-image.

5. Shattered my confidence to be replaced with the CONFIDENCE of GOD!

6. Surrendered all layers I hide behind to try to keep everyone a distance and

became the most vulnerable I have ever been in my entire life.

7. Experienced God and the Holy Spirit in a completely new and beautiful way through dance, worship, prayer and simply listening.

8. Cried, laughed, comforted, danced, karate chopped and ate (veggiemite, ugali, fishy soup, cabbage in ketchup?) with some of the most beautiful, broken, blessed, joyful, strong, loving and inspiring men and women of God that I am so blessed to call my squad, my team, my leaders, my coaches and my brothers and sisters.

9. Saw a glimpse of what amazing, exciting and heartbreaking things that lie ahead. (my heart broke for those that love God without the fear and persecution of a closed and corrupt government and still praise him BOLDLY! I pray for that same bold light and courage.)

10. Stopped “becoming the woman I have always wanted to be” to taking the first steps to become the woman GOD intended me to be… Someone I thought I never had the guts to be and so much greater than my expectations. Looooooove it! 😉

I am blessed, broken, beautiful and an ENEMY of the DEVIL. Training camp was incredible.

More on my amazing team soon… 😉
