Hello friends!

well…the Q Squad has officially reached the 11th and final month.  It’s crazy.  It’s been a long year!  Ukraine was awesome and I am really hoping to get a video made of a softball camp we helped out with for a couple of days.  It was pretty awesome and I wish we could have done a little more of it.  Anyhow…hopefully that will get done soon πŸ™‚

Our travel to Romania took a little while.  We stayed in Kiev, Ukraine for two days before gettting on our overnight train ride to Romania.  FYI:  overnight train rides rock!  But only if you have the sleeper compartments.  Anyhow, we stayed a couple of nights in a hostel when we got to Bucharest as well.  We are now at our ministry site for this final month.  We are working at a place called Casa Shalom.  The place was built as an orphanage but just after it was completed the laws in which people can operate orphanages changed drastically and things just didn’t work out at planned.  Instead, they host camps and mission teams.  This weekend they will be getting a group of 80 kids for the Romanian Junior Bible Quiz national competition.  Kids from all over the country will come to compete with others who have been memorizing passages of the Bible.  We will be here helping out.  JBQ is a ministry of the Assemblies of God church (which I grew up in!)  So I’m pretty excited to be here for it.  I was never in JBQ though…I’m pretty sure these kids would kick my tail πŸ™‚  Anyhow, Romania is a beautiful country…here are a few pics taken our first day here as well as a few from our last days in Ukraine πŸ™‚
