Hello friends!

Just wanted to send out a quick update J

We made it to our ministry site! We are staying in the capital of Camboida…Phnom Penh (the h’s are silent J ) We are staying at another YWAM facility and working with the Agape Shalom Center. This month we will be teaching English to middle school and University students. We have such an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel to so many students! Most are Buddhists and a few of them are Christian. I’m surprised at how much English is spoken here. The students have a big packet full of questions they are learning. One of them is: are you a Christian? Another is: Why do you believe in Jesus? How exciting is that! The students come in the afternoon and are also required to attend either the Thursday evening church service or the Sunday morning. Starting on Thursday our team will be leading some of the worship, preaching, and sharing testimonies.

Please be praying that we will be able to share the Gospel in a way that they can understand. Pray that their hearts would be open to what we say and their minds to be open to understanding what it means to be a Christian and to be loved by the only true God there is J God definitely has his hand on this place and I am soooo excited about this month. My new team is wonderful and God has already been bringing freedom to strongholds in our lives. Pray for unity and openness as we minister to Cambodians as well as each other.

We don’t have good internet L Pray that we will be able to find some on Christmas J Love you all very much! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. I pray that we all realize how truly blessed we are.  And here is a picture we took with THE santa πŸ™‚  (and he’s much different than I pictured as a child πŸ™‚
**okay…so the internet is terrible here and wouldn’t let me post the picture…but…..you can see it on my facebook in my Cambodia album πŸ™‚  here

Much love from Cambodia!

One more thing….we found a grocery store that has so many American comforts! I even found the deodorant I use back home.  That is a rare find! Asian deodorant is just not the same as in America πŸ™‚  We were even able to buy ingrediants to make spaghetti for 12 people…and it was under budget!!! Our budget for dinner is $2/person…We only spent $16 to feed 12 people.  Oh yeah…currency is weird here!  They have 2 currencies.  They eleminated all their coins and now use their paper money to make change…anything above 4000 Riel is an American dollar.  it’s crazy…and often confusing.  If you spend $5.25 and give them $10…you will get back 4 american dollars and around 3,000 Riel πŸ™‚
