Hey family and friends (and any wandering blog reader!)
I wanted to give everyone an update about what’s been going lately. Things are super busy here in Clovis. I finished up the semester and found out I will have to finish up a few things during the summer. Not exactly how I expected things to happen. Maybe God is preparing me for the World Race already! lol…On the WR, you basically expect the unexpected! Anything can change at any time! I still got to walk at commencement since I obviously won’t be here to participate in the fall commencement.
This last weekend, my friend and I made our annual trip out to Lake Texoma with a wonderful couple from our church! This is the third year we have gone and we absolutely had a blast. They are only allowed to give my spot on the trip away this next year…but I’ll be back for the next! 🙂 I got to test out some of my gear. I really like my tent…it was too warm to test out the sleeping bag. Which was a good thing because my friend found a lizard in it! She also found that a turtle crawled under my tent. Probably for the shade lol. I’m just glad I wasn’t in it to find either of them…or worse. Not that I’m afraid of turtles or little green lizards…but I just don’t want to find them in my stuff! 🙂
The next few weeks will be just as busy. This weekend we are having another garage sale to try and raise some more money! We brought in $3,000 with the last one. We don’t have as much stuff this time but are anticipating a good turnout. On the 21st of June I will be heading to Ruidoso, NM with 20 kiddos for kids camp!!! One of my favorite times of the year. Then I have two weddings to go to (I don’t have 27 brides maid dresses just yet…but i seem to be working on it! lol)
Sandwiched in between the two weddings is a very important 10 days! TRAINING CAMP!!!!!
Just wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has bought bracelets! I have sold just over 1000!!! That’s another $500 in my support account. WAHOOOO (Still have plenty left if you’d like to nab some 🙂
Please keep myself and the rest of the September squad in your prayers!! We need to have $7,000 in our accounts by August 1st and $9,000 in our account in order to launch in September!! I am still about $4,000 short of meeting the September goal.
