We’ve been encountering Spiritual Warfare pretty hard all month. It’s no surprise when the name of our ministry location is Miqueas (Micah) 6:8 , which says: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Every time the name is said, this group of 39 children are having this verse spoken over them. They are not here as orphans, but have been adopted into the sonship of God in a loving family that is raising them up to be world changers!
And so, the devil is on assignment against these young anointed. We have felt it like a thick blanket stealing our energy and enthusiasm. But we have been pressing in and seeing amazing transformation. Our team is really stepping up to new levels of vulnerability and depth and we are shining a light into the most hidden places of our hearts. With this, the chains are breaking loose and we are no longer walking under the oppression we first felt. But it is a constant battle. The main problem we have been feeling is what we call a spirit of lethargy. Basically, you feel totally drained and ineffective. Just the other day, we were prayer walking the campus and when I entered one of the rooms, it hit me hard. I felt like I couldn’t even stand up I was soooo tired. But we prayed through it and found release. The other night I woke up sensing a demonic presence watching us so I prayed over us. Then last night, I woke up to a loud crash and began interceding again because I felt it was deeply spiritual (whatever it was). This morning I found out that a fan blade broke off mid spin and hit my team mate (they were not injured). Not to mention that we are experiencing all kinds of medical issues.
All of us are really hearing from God regularly, but one team mate in particular gets some pretty specific and awesome stuff! The Lord put on their heart that we needed to do a 24 hour prayer vigil. We start tonight at 9pm, and go till 9pm tomorrow. The Lord also laid it on our hearts to fast during this time. We will be taking 1.5 hour shifts in groups of 2, so we each rotate through with each of our other team mates at least once.
