For some reason, the fact that I am in the states causes me to feel like the ministry opportunities I have here are soemhow, not something to blog about. But, this should not be the case! I talk about and share Christ as a part of my every day life here, and as I am doing the same thing overseas, that will just be a part of my NEW everyday life :0) So, here is an update of how your prayers and support are reaching the nations (yes, NJ does count as reaching the nations)……
Today: I had a fantastic prayer and Bible time at a Pizzaria, just me and Jesus. But, the Lord put a little neon sign above one of the workers. I approached him and let him know that he was very special and important to Jesus. I felt the Lord wanted him to read John 14-17 ( you should too, its fantastic). He did not have a Bible, but I happened to have a Spanish in my car (and he reads spanish). So, please pray for my Pizza friend. That the Lord would speak to him and draw him to Himself. Also today I had Prayer for healing for a woman at work. Please pray for the Lord to touch her and heal her in a miraculous way, for His glory.
Thursday: I held the first in a series of Weekly Bible Studies before work. 3 women came, but a few more plan to attend the next meeting. We started by addressing the question ‘Who is Jesus’ and the Lord drew me to John 14. A lot of great questions came up and we were able to clarify some common misconceptions.
1) Jesus existed as a part of the trinity BEFORE creation. Jesus is not a created being. He choose to take on human form for a time, but he exhisted before, and will exist long after life in this World
2) There is no Biblical evidence that Mary is actually sinless. She is an exceptional woman of faith who was choosed for this exceptional task of mothering Jesus, but only Jesus Himself is sinless.
3) Loved ones do not come back in the form of spirits to guide and protect us once they have passed on. God takes care of that task and He is enough. Also, the Bible shares that communication with the dead in any way is actually communication with demons who are pretending to be a loved one. This is true even if the information they are sharing is accurate.
Please pray that the Lord would continue to guide our discussions together. We invite the Holy Spirit and look forward to learning more about the Lord :0) Please pray that if there are people who do not know Christ, and that are ready to receive Him, that the Lord would bring them in and answer the questions of their hearts about who He is and the role He wants to play in their lives.
On my flight back from Training Camp: I talked with a beautiful high school girl who is facing some pretty tough circumstances in her family. We got to share and pray together. I gave her some great resources. Pray the the Lord would continue to captivate her heart.
On my flight back from Honduras: I sat wth a beautiful Muslim family (mother and daughters). We became fast friends and I am going to send her a book the Lord laid on my heart for her. Please pray that He would work through that however He pleases.
There are too many other times when I prayed with people from work and had divine conversations about Jesus. I will try and blog about them as they happen :0)
Please pray that the Lord would continue the work of the harvest at the Black River Barn. I LOVE these people and want them all to know the powerful, lifechanging love of Christ.
