 Matthew 27:51 gives an account of the moment that Christ gave up His Spirit.  Most notably…..the veil was torn!  Before that moment, the presence of God was contained only inside the temple, and behind layers and layers of thick curtains.  In order to enter into the Holy of Holies, you have to be cleansed by blood sacrifice.  The priests who would dare to enter would have a rope tied around their ankle with a bell on it.  Anyone who entered into the Holy of Holies and was not properly cleansed of their sins would die instantly in the presence of a Holy God.  If they died, there way not way for them to be retrieved so the others could use the rope to pull the dead priest out for burial.  The presence of God is THAT awesome!   He is THAT Holy! 

God planned for this!  He knew that we were not perfect, nor could we ever be and that we could never enter into true communion with Him on our own.  So…..He sent His son….Jesus…..to be that sin offering for us.  It is at that moment….the moment He breathed His last…..that the veil was torn and the presence of God was made accessible throughout all the earth! 

We have ACCESS…..yet we don’t ‘tap in’?!?  We can live in the presence of God……but so often we choose this world instead?  In general….we wait for a ‘worship time’ to enter in.  We wait till the music is just right, or the lights are nice and  low…or whatever else we really like.  But the presence of God is everywhere!  We have FULL ACCES!  In the car…..in the shower…..in the middle of a conversation……at a restaurant….at any time…..any place…..we can enter in and hear from the Lord and feel His sweet presence.  We know this…..but how often do we really do it? 

But it is only through the blood of Christ that we have this access.  It is because we are robed with His righteousness!  God does not see our filthy rags….He sees the Robe of Jesus covering us…..giving us entrance into the Presence of Holy God. 

What a privilege!  We are able to enter into the eternal presence of God when we pass from this life to the next.  We do not die….we enter into eternal life! 

But this is not the case for millions around the world.  Millions who do not know the saving work of Christ, and who live in a place of deep darkness and despair where they feel the separation from God in a real way.  What a privilege to introduce them to the presence of God!  What a joy to tell them of who Jesus is and how He tore the veil!  They can enter in, in the midst of their broken lives….they can enter in.  In the filthy shack they call home…..in the brothels they are living in….on the streets where they sleep…..they can enter in!  And best of all…..enter into life when they pass from this earth!

World Racers bring the presence of God with them to dark ad hurting places.  They tap into the presence of God at all times….in all places.  On a crowded train….rafting down the Nile….plowing a field…..walking miles in the hot sun to reach a widow….playing ball with a group of children.
