When I think about the World Race, I don’t just think about MY World Race, or the other racers on my team, or even the whole World Race department…..I think of YOUYour World Race! The Harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few….We are called to go into all the world and bring the Gospel….but the whole world includes your backyard… not just other nations. Weather you sense a special call or connection to foreign missions, or know you are planted in your town as a missionary, we are all on a race…..a race to tell the world about all the wonderful things our Savior has done, and is doing….a race to rescue the lost and hurting…a race to bring peace and hope and love!

What is YOUR race like these days?  What kinds of things are happening as you run the race set before you?

1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.  Luke 10:1-3(NIV)

15He said to them,Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  Mark 16:15-16 (NIV)

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV)

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13(NIV)
