Humility…something I pray to God that he will show me how to live in EVERY SINGLE DAY.
One of the biggest things the Lord has shown me on this journey is how to live a humble life of thanksgiving. Not only has he Redeemed my life, Restored my joy, and Replenished hope, but he has equipped me to put on a humble heart.
“Those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” -Colossians 3:12
My walk with Papa has changed who I am in a way that only you, the person changed, can know because of the internal change in your thoughts, your actions, your words, and most importantly your heart. If we live, love, and let love invade us fully, He will never fail to teach us what we must do.
I ran to my Papa broken, but now I am COMPLETE!
LET GO! That’s all we have to do. If we can learn to let go of things we have held on so tightly to that causes us to be bitter, frustrated, prideful, selfish, etc., then we can learn to be full…full of HIS Spirit. But we must CHOSE to LET GO! When this happens, we will have this eternal joy that fills us in everything we do. Once this joy fills us, we can see things clearly and our hearts begin to humble.
Now I want MORE, and MORE of my Father daily. So I seek Him in the little things, I pray in All things, and I learn from my struggles and mistakes. This is how I have learned to put on a humble heart that is made of kindness, compassion, gentleness, and patience.
We must learn to walk towards what we have avoided for SO long…HIM.
Not some of Him, but ALL of HIM.
God will wreck our plans in order to direct our steps. That is what he has done for me the past two years. I now walk towards what I don’t understand and wait patiently for Him. I put myself in uncomfortable situations to make me stronger. I am thankful when I am sick, in pain, or in a tough situation.
By learning to be humble, we learn to move and walk out our faith.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” -Matthew 6:34
Living each day presently so that we can be open to what the Spirit has for us has created this radical spirit within me that helps me stand in my faith, even if I feel alone.
Vulnerability leads to humility. So much can come from this…like Redemption and Freedom!
The redemption that has been done in my life helps me to pursue many new directions in life to share my story. My past pain and struggles may be the platform to help with someone else’s pain and struggles.
It is not easy to walk with humility all the time, especially with others that are very different from us. But without differences and struggles, we wouldn’t be pushed to learn and strive for more. We are all called to “be humble and gentle; patient, bearing with one another in love.” (Ephesians 4:2)
I just want to say,
JESUS IS ALIVE…
and moving powerfully, still comforting those who mourn, answering prayers, and making ordinary lives Extraordinary! He has made mine one I am ever so thankful for. Don’t give up if your struggling. Instead press in and seek for more…more through the Father. He is there waiting for you with His arms extended out waiting to receive you. “The LORD is YOUR portion…therefore go and wait for HIM. He is good to those whose HOPE is in HIM, to the one who SEEKS in HIM.” (Lam 3:24-25)
My Father gave me this scripture two years ago and it continues to get me through everything. His Word Can and Will carry you through anything too.
God Bless!!!
