I love people, I love travel. I am a vagabond at heart.
vag-a-bond: adj. a person, usually without a permanent
home, who wanders from place to place;
nomad.

…And I read the dictionary for fun…but only once in a while.
I am fascinated with learning new things, curiosity may kill the cat, but I thrive in it. I love to read, take pictures on my dinky little point and shoot camera, write, explore new corners of my home town (Louisville, Ky), go on road-trips and experience new things. Nerdy as this may sound, public speaking is one of my favorite activities. Especially when I get to give informative and persuasive speeches to my community about human trafficking and other social justice matters.
My passion is for urban communities. I feel a strong pull to cities stuffed with people who all come from such different

backgrounds and are all struggling to thrive and find meaning in life. When I walk down city streets it energizes me to know the reason for the hope that is in me, and I strive to live by grace and learn how to demonstrate that hope to the people around me. I am especially passionate about seeking ways to show hospitality to international students and refugees who find themselves in the United States with little to no resources or connections. I want to devote as much of my life as possible to serving and developing friendships with these people, whether they are immigrants or visitors.
I love music, dancing and food and will jump on any opportunity to participate in any social event that involves one or all of those things. Sushi is one of the most powerful tools of persuasion that can be used on me.
I am excited to spend this journey blogging and documenting God’s work
in this momentous journey and I am thrilled that you, reader, are
willing to come along with me. I hope you will be blessed by my story
of God’s grace at work in this race around the world!
