These past two months have been quite
the blessing. Compared to past months, we have been enjoying a good
amount of comfort. We are living in a building that has fans, beds,
running water and electricity. There is a kitchen with a gas-powered
stove and fridge, so we are able to cook our own meals. Then when we
eat those meals, we get to sit on chairs around a table, which as it
turns out, is preferable to sitting cross-legged on the floor.
comes from leaving people and places after a month, and jumping right
away into a new story. This month we got to stay in the same place,
working with the same ministry, and meeting with the same people. We
also got to work with the same team, Newsong. It has been awesome
getting to know them and working together. The ministry comes
natural to me as well. We are evangelizing on a college campus. God
has gifted me in evangelism, and its exciting to be on campus and to
be used to transform lives through conversations of truth.

comforts, I look forward to the “discomfort” ahead. It seems
that the dis-comfortable things have become quite comfortable to me.
Discomfort breeds change, and change is good and necessary.
Discomfort can also be exciting and adventurous, if you have the
right perspective. Charles Swindoll says that life is 10% what
happens to you and 90% how you react to it. Attitude is everything.
I look forward to traveling by less than comfortable means. I look
forward to being uprooted from ministry and relationships, leaving my
peace here, and adventuring forth into the next stage. I look
forward to finding out what my new shelter will look like, and what
challenges it will bring my way.

So in a matter of days we will be off
to Nigeria. We will be blessed with a few days of ‘debrief’ with the
entire squad. There is an excitement building in my heart about that
time. I have a feeling that it will be one of the most enjoyable
times the squad will have together on this race. We are at a point
now where we really enjoy each other. Early on, squad times brought
on an unwanted anxiety. Squad time meant a change of place, and
change of people, and it usually came just when you were settling in
somewhere else with another people. But now that we have built
relationships, squad time is an amazing opportunity to enjoy time
with people you love.
We are finishing up month seven, of 11
months. After Nigeria, we have three months in Eastern Europe. Then
we finish the race in Ireland, having our final debrief, followed by
the Awakening. So it seems my world race will be over before I know
it.
transformation in the past seven months, and I owe it to the process
the World Race takes you through. I have experienced a lot of
purging of past ways and thoughts. I have experienced building a new
foundation in Christ. I am now in a time of freedom and opportunity,
as I start building on my new foundation. God has brought me to a
place where I can start “living a better story” with my life. He
has spoken to me about my talents and shown me how to make the most
out of every opportunity to develop those talents. God has spoken
about financial deliverance, and although I haven’t seen it yet, I
know it is on its way. He has shown me pieces of my future and given
me clear direction. Its a great time for me. There is a lovely
excitement building, and I am enjoying it.
