Saturday August 1st, 7:47am, World Race Ignition Training Camp

I saw a bumper sticker on one of the cars here and it read, “Forget your inhibitions, pursue your dream!”  I know there are a few things I’ve realized even after only a day in training camp, that if I gave weight to, could keep me from going.  But I read that and it hit me.

Lord, despite the difficulties, I will go!  You are sending me, let there be no complaint in my heart.  Keep falsehood and lies far from me, and give me neither poverty nor riches, only my daily bread.

It’s funny, cause I read just a few verses last nite, but one of them was, “Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold on to the Word of life – in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.”  (Philippians 2:14-16)

So how do we keep from complaining, arguing?  I believe the answer is in the next two verses: “But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrafice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.  So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.”  (Philippians 2:17-18).

Move past complaining and arguing and get right to being glad and rejoicing!

What’s cool is that with how it is written, if you skip past the complaining and arguing verse, you get right to be glad and rejoice!  I would just encourage you all, skip past any complaints, go ahead and be glad and rejoice!

so I normally like to add a picture to my blogs, and I will sometimes look up google pictures that relate to what I am blogging about.  Today I typed in, “be glad and rejoice”, and this time I was kinda surprised by some of the pictures that came up.  For instance….

for one, this guy does NOT look like he is glad or rejoicing, and secondly, religious people just plain scare me

And we have a winner!!!  This is more like it!  There are so few pictures of Jesus smiling, which is absurd!  Children came running up to Jesus when they saw Him.  His love showed!

Finally, I looked up “Forget your inhibitions, pursue your dream” on google pictures, hoping to find the bumper sticker, instead I got…
