My name is Michael Sanders. Michael means Who is God? Sanders when traced back means Defender of Men. So my name poses a question and then answers it: Who is God? The Defender of Men. I hope to inspire people into seeking the true identity of God. I hope to become, like God, a defender of men.
When a friend of mine prays for people she sometimes will get a name from God for them. While praying for me she got the name Cape of Bloom. Cape is about my ability to fly, to dream. When I looked up the definition of cape one of the first things I saw was ‘Cape of Good Hope’. The Cape of Good Hope was the beginning point of a new route that opened which thrived the trade industry. Dreams bring hope through the opening of a new route. So another definition of cape in terms of my name would be Hope of a New Route. Bloom is about making things thrive, flourish. The sky has always inspired me to dream, and water has always been a sweet place of rest for me. Sky and water are two key ingredients in making things bloom. To develop and flourish is one definition of bloom. I desire to bring people hope by teaching them to fly and helping develop their dreams so they may flourish.

So to bring it all together:
I hope to inspire people to seek God (Michael/who is God ) by developing projects that fight poverty and injustice (Sanders/Defender of Men), bringing hope to those who are enslaved (Cape/hope of a new route)so that the Kingdom of God may increase on this earth (Bloom/making things thrive, flourish).
For as the earth brings forth its sprouts
and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up
so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
to sprout up before all the nations. (Isaiah 61)

I love Jesus
and want to share that love with others. I am so thankful for every day
I’m given, and I have been granted a new life in Christ.
I am 24 years old and ready to bring the Kingdom
of God wherever He sends me! I was wasting my life in drunkenness when
Jesus grabbed hold of my life. Since then God has been radically
transforming my life, empowering me to defeat the sinful tendencies I brought
into a relationship with Him, and teaching me daily to become more like Jesus.
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made
perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold
of me.” (Philippians 3:12)

I actually do love God and people and myself, and this hasn’t always been true. I am discovering more and more who God is, and through my discoveries I find out who I am.
I like utilizing creativity. I love being improvisational, whether in music or humor or encouragement or conversation, I love being spontaneous. Life isn’t as serious as I sometimes think it is. I have two wonderful parents who live in LA, four older brothers (two of which are married (one of which has five kids, all of which I love dearly)), and a younger sister who has a better sense of humor and is more creative than me.

I love this quote from the book “Living Water”:
“God doesn’t want you to merely do what you can. He wants you to believe Him to do what you cannot. Through such steps of faith the Kingdom of God advances throughout the world.”
I love adventuring. Come adventure with me.
I know that Jesus can do a lot with a man
completely surrendered and devoted to Him, and so that is what I strive
for. Since I’ve given Him complete control, He has taken me across the
United States, and to more than 15 countries all over the world.
Below is a prophesy I received that explains me well:
Creative expression is your tool and the Spirit is your
guide.
Joy and laughter walk with you on each side.
Silliness is your delight,
but you are a warrior, made to fight.
Continue to shine His glory,
and He will make your life into an epic story!
