So, I’m here! I am in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala! It feels so surreal, but at the same time I’m comfortable. God has truly blessed me and my team with an amazing place to start out on the Race. I am not only doing ministry with my team but with another team as well. We are serving at Ministros Casa Verde AKA The Green House Ministries. I am very excited to share with everyone how God is moving here, and more on how I will be serving him! Here are a few things that are going on.

The Church (the whole body of Christ) is very divided here, for example if one church is having a revival another church with schedule a service just so there members can’t attend.

Recently a river up in the mountains flooded destroying several homes, leaving people without food, clothing, shelter, forcing them to live in the dumps.

Also, I have recently discovered that most of the Guatemalan population are very irate with Americans, since finding out that many American doctors have been coming down from the states and running experiments on locals here in Guatemala. They have been injecting people with Syphilis, and this has resulted in many deaths of the local people.

There are many orphans here. Most of them are without people to care for them, people come in the day, and go home at 5:00 leaving the orphans to care for themselves. There is also very little money provided to these orphans, and the money that is given is usually stolen by the workers at the orphanage, because they will go weeks without pay, so they take it to provide for their families.

As you can see there is much need here in Guatemala. God is going to and has already been doing amazing things here.

Also, I am speaking at a church tonight along with three other people, so please keep us in your prayers. It was kind of a last minute thing, but I KNOW that God will be there speaking through us.

Stay tuned for more…
