Hey Team!
We have made it to Mongolia. This place is so beautiful! We took a train from Beijing that was 30 something hours and most of it was through the Mongolian countryside. The colors are so deep and rich, and looking out the train window as wild horses ran around and the sun set behind rolling hills is something I'll never be able to forget. We are staying in UlaanBataar, and I'm so pumped to see what this month has in store. Also, we are the first World Race team to work here, so it is going to be a great adventure!
Last month, our team had the privilege of working in China! China is a closed country so both this post and the video are somewhat censored in order to protect our contacts and the WR's work there. We worked with a wonderful organization called C.T. This organization, made up of Americans who live there long term, works with college students in certain cities. Basically, they love on them, share the good news with them, and disciple them. The idea is that these students will eventually lead families, companies, etc. in China and will be able to make an impact for the kingdom!
We were the first WR team that this group had hosted, and they were so awesome! Autumn was our main contact, but there were quite a few people involved in the work there. We met some great folks including Sonny and Cher, Dove and Indy, Mulan, Belle, Marian and McDoogle. Basically, we spent the month "extravagantly sharing" with college students. We would go out for lunch and dinner and just find friends, get to know them, and share with them. It was intimidating and tiring, but it was a great time and a rewarding experience as we had four people "come into the family." The C.T. family really took us in and it was such a privilege to pour into and encourage them as well as have them support and encourage us.
As I mentioned above, there won't be much of our actual work in the video A. to protect our contacts and B. because it would be pretty awkward to break out a camera in the middle of sharing the good news. However, this video shows some of the highlights and crazy times that are a part of everyday life on the race. I hope you enjoy!
P.S. As always, this video was made with combined footage from my team. Also, Derek Carlson helped me out in editing this video and picking the song!
P.P.S. If you are interested in hearing more about C.T. and the work we did with them feel free to contact me and I would love to give you more details!
Thanks again to everyone who has prayed, donated, shared, sacrificed, etc. for me on this trip. I say it often, but I truly could not be doing this without your support! You guys are just as much a part of this journey as I am! Thanks so much!
