Twas the week before Micah’s trip deadline, and his account was without, the lack of funds was looming, causing him to doubt.
He sent out letters and shared with those who care, in hopes that by the 23rd, money soon would be there.
He tossed and turned awake in his bed, trying to run debits and credits in his head.
He prayed and he talked to God like his chap, but sometimes, accidentally, fell into a nap.
He’d awake in the morning to check his account, while the situation continued to cause confusion to mount,
"Why am I going,” He said. “Does it even matter?” "Why don’t I just stay here, climb the corporate ladder.”
He pictured the future and saw in a flash, This journey was more important than making some cash.
He knew at this point that he had to go, but couldn't God just give him the courtesy to know?
Frustration began to take place of fear, “God can’t you see what I’m trying to do here?”

Then all of the sudden he was cut to the quick, God seemed to say “What, do you think I’m St. Nick?”,
“Have faith my son, I won’t be tame, I created the world and still know you by name.”
“I know what you need, its your faith that needs fixin’, You can’t on your own, that thought is fiction.
Lean into me, and follow my call, I’ll handle your needs, not just this one, but all!”
Those thoughts hit Micah like a finger to the eye, But don’t worry, it didn’t hurt him, he didn’t even cry.
It just made him remember some things that he knew, He can’t do it himself, he must rely on others too!
This act is hard and made him feel like a goof, but he gave in and on Friday checked his account for proof.
As he pulled up his funds the amount would astound, his account had now grown by both leaps and bounds.
Donations from friends and family, what loot! Even an anonymous donation to boot!
For too long Micah had put this all on his back, but God gives us others to help where we lack.
The week came to a close, and with this new advice he had heeded, his account had grown the the exact dollar amount he needed!
So now its official, He’ll soon leave for his trip, and he wanted me to remind you of this single tip.
God doesn’t want to leave you all alone, if you’re trying by yourself, the decision is your own. So let’s all build community and lean on each other, and edify, in Christ, our sister and our brother.
This story isn’t over, no its just the beginning, if we were playing baseball, it’d be the first inning. But at this point I’ve told all I can on this night, so Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
Hey team! If you couldn't infer from the text above, with your help I REACHED MY FUNDRAISING DEADLINE!!!!!!! I had to have $7,500 and I have exactly $7,500! It is so humbling to be on the receiving end of such incredible support, and all I can say is thank you. I still have a long way to go, but I have a much longer time to get there. Thanks Again! I hope you all have a great Christmas!
