I still can’t believe that I am actually doing the World Race! In January 2017 I will be embarking on an amazing journey that will totally transform my life. I thought that I would let everyone know how I came to the decision to do the world race and the exciting stuff that lies ahead!
In the summer of 2014 myself and my friend travelled to Swaziland for a months missions trip. This was my first ever missions trip. It completely changed my life… My heart broke for the children and adults that I got to meet, every story I heard made me more determined to be a change in someone’s life. I knew that one small act of kindness, one nice word, a hug or a smile could bring joy to that persons life and change their situation. This was something I carried with me when I went back home. “Be the change you wish to see in the world”
I knew that from the moment I arrived at that first Care point in Swailand that I wanted to minister, serve and help people all over the world. And now I am getting to do it!
I had thought about the world race but continued to put it to the back of my mind. For months and months I had the thought of doing it but never done anything to make to happen. At the start of 2016 the feeling grew stronger to just GO! And in February I began the process, I took that first step. I remember the phone call to inform me that I had been accepted, I was bursting with excitement I could not believe that it was actually happening! I was going on the World Race! I would be travelling to 11 different countries over 11 months, ministering and serving. Doing something that I was passionate about and making a difference. There are times in our lives when we just have to take that first step, when we need to push ourselves out of that comfort zone and have faith.
I am so excited for the amazing journey that I will get to share with you all I want to thank everyone who has supported me 🙂
