I thought I would just give an overview of what all I have going on now as well as give a fundraising update.
I will start with some great news and that is I am already 37% funded with $5,700 in my fundraising account! Thank you to all of those supporting me financially and/or through prayer!
Life is well…different. I am not doing the "typical" things I do this time of year…arranging my summer plans, planning my birthday (I turn 22 on May 4th!), working on my tan or buying new summer clothes. It sound so shallow, but it's true. I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, something completely life changing where God will reveal Himself to me in ways He never has before.
Some other things going on in my life…I have scheduled my first vaccination appointment in a week. I am continuing to work full time until May 31 here in Greenville and I will be in Sumter, SC with my parents until launch. I basically spend every night reading the blogs of those currently on the World Race. I am in an amazing community group right now going through the book of Colossians, which has been great for me and given me a taste of what community will look like on the race. My sister is getting married June 8. I am having my yard sale fundraiser June 15. If you would like to donate anything, email me at [email protected] and I would be happy to come pick any items up.
I recently had a revelation on preparation for the World Race and how the best kind of preparation I can do is spiritually preparing myself. I know that sounds like a "duh" but I have been so focused on what I can do to prepare myself physically, emotionally, mentally, etc. that I just overlooked the most important thing…growing closer to God.
