i have a blog on the way about the work we are doing here, but until i find a computer that can read the file I hope you enjoy this blog of the lighter variety…

This is a beautiful farmland next to where we are working.

These are some of the shacks right next to the beautiful farmland.  Here is a booty shot of my team and our translator.  We were walking around the refugee camp to get acclimated to the area.

It was so incredibly hot this day and this is the only spot of shade.  We all crammed in as we were waiting leave to go start church in one of the plazas in Tambo de Mora.  Church consisted of us walking around the camp playing songs and reminding/inviting people to join us, once they joined us we were playing songs in English, a word from Nate on our squad, praying for anyone who wanted it, more songs in Spanish, one of our translators sharing her tesitmony, then I shared why I was on the World Race.

After church, it was so fun.  it was a beautiful day and people were all over the plaza.  On one side some of us were playing volleyball without a net and with shoes as the center line, on the other some were playing with the little kiddies, some were playing music, some were sitting in the dry dirt and grass discussing the bible with the locals and praying.  Not to mention that the older folks all pulled up chairs and sat near the volleyball game cheering and laughing.  It felt like we were in a cul-de-sac with kids everywhere laughing and playing with us. It was an awesome experience to bring church rather than go to church.

Here is one of me and all my gear just so you all know what I’m schlepping around the world!

This morning I read in 1 Corinthians 12 about how a body is one unit made up of many different parts and how each part is unique to the whole.  I love to see our squad coming together as a body with each of our uniquely gifted parts (or people).  It is obviously going to be an adventure.!

may you see God’s blessings today!
