Life has been a roller coaster the past 2 months, and I couldn’t be more blessed by the joy that has been brought to my life. And as I normally like to do, I want to share what the Lord has been doing in my life.
I have been stuck in a rut y’all. I have turned 23 in the past couple months and have become burdened with the ultimate ‘adulting‘ question: SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE? — HA– Haven’t we all heard it like we are to have this all knowing answer planned out and orchestrated?? BUT what happens when we don’t want to be the composer!!
The Lord has continued to stretch me in ways I can never figure out. It has been quite a ride to see how the last year of my life has shaped up to be. I was a girl with passion and a plan. Luckily I still have got the passion but throwing my plan out the window and stepping completely into the Lord’s plan for my life. I get so confused on how I got to the place where I am now and am still seeking to find an answer.
So here I am now and I want to be completely honest with y’all but now with my life not my own, I am FREAKING out… But I want to take a second to explain where I am headed and hope that you will join me in this journey.
In the upcoming fall of 2017 I am starting seminary to George W. Truett Seminary at Baylor University and am stoked for the short time that I will be home. BUT I will only be there one semester before I start an incredible experience that is going to change me for the better. I am about to embark on this journey called the WORLD RACE – NO I AM NOT RUNNING AROUND THE WORLD PHYSICALLY, but I am going to go for the sake of fighting the good fight and finishing the race for the sake of global salvation. But what it is, is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. I will stay in each country for one month, meeting the needs of the culture that I am in and sharing the name of Jesus to the people. Each country will be different and that right there makes my heart beat a little faster!!! I can’t wait to see how the Gospel transforms the lives of a people group that I have never experienced before. I’m jazzed just thinking about it.
THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE for me has been trusting God to help provide the funds to get me there. My daily prayer is to rest in the fact that He will provide people with a heart for missions, but for some reason they can’t go that they would want to support this crazy Jesus-loving, global-minded gal on the adventure for the pure sake of saving souls all around the world for the sake of the Gospel.
With all this transparency in my life, I challenge you to 2 things, maybe 3…
