Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.  He also also planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”

This scripture resonated in me this morning when I read it. It was one of the scriptural references for a devotional I was reading. It was so cool, because for the past week I felt like God has been truly talking specifically about purpose.

If you’ve been in church culture long enough, you’ve heard all the cliches about how God is the one that gives us purpose. It might even roll off your tongue with out you feeling the weight of that statement. I’ve done it many, many times. Well, this past week it’s been very different.

I can truly say that with out Jesus…I would have no purpose. No reason to be breathing. No reason to keep going on. No reason to go on the world race. I’d be a dead person walking around, just filling my time with pointless crap that doesn’t matter. I’d be a horrible person…selfish, apathetic, spiteful, mean….just evil. I’ve done nothing to earn God’s grace, to be given a chance at life….to have hope for my eternity.

Jesus is my reason. Jesus died for me when I was ugly…when I didn’t realize how bad I was…when I was self-righteous…He gave me a reason to live when came and died for my sins…when He took the keys to Hell, death and the grave…and was resurrected for my justification….it’s all thanks to Him. That’s the most wonderful news my ears have ever heard.

And it should be the most wonderful words you’ve ever heard.

Every single one of you that are reading this right now have purpose. You are still breathing for a reason. Jesus died to give you a purpose that will live through out all of eternity, and you don’t have to do a thing to deserve it. Just repent with your whole heart, ask for forgiveness and for Jesus to come into your heart. It’s a simple, yet profound decision. It will not mean you will be happy all the time and everything will be rainbows and butterflies. As a matter of fact, life might get harder. The devil will try to kill your joy…steal your promise…and destroy your life in God. But JESUS will give you strength through the Holy Spirit…He will be your PEACE in the storm….and He will give you PURPOSE for your PAIN!

And for everyone who knows Jesus….please realize how weighty your purpose truly is. Salvation is in your mouth and your feet should be walking with purpose daily. You didn’t enter a club where all you do is sit and play church….you have the good news living in your HEART!

You don’t have to go on an 11 month mission’s trip to have purpose and meaning…it could be witnessing to someone at the grocery store….going to your workplace and changing the atmosphere by bringing the kingdom of God with you….praying for someone in need….sharing your testimony…sticking up for God when everyone is cutting Him down….

You have purpose living inside of you. Do not squander it!!! We have a reason to live…to TRULY live because of Jesus!!!! It’s the best gift any human being could EVER receive!!!!!!!

Your feet are beautiful because you carry the good news in your heart!

Romans 10:15
“Beautiful are the feet of the messengers who carry the good news.”

And I have surpassed my second financial goal!!! WOOOOHOOOO GOOOO GODDDDD!!!! I will share more about that sometime this week! 🙂

Love you all! Walk with purpose!!!!

Sincerely,
Meraia
