“My God, Mí Dios
Qué tienes in store What do you have in store
Dónde quieres mí ir Where do you want me to go
Cuándo puedo conozco When can I know
Qué… What
Dónde… Where
Cuándo… When”
over and over again….
I didn’t even realize my prayer had taken on the Spanglish I use in this village until I heard a word.
“Respuestas.”
“wait, where did that word come from? do I even know what it means? nope definitely do not know this.
wait, was I really just praying using the tiniest Spanish I know? Did I really get a response in Spanish?”
I kept pushing this question through my mind the rest of my day. Not in a preoccupied way but in a could that really have been God answering me kind of way. The moment we got home <home is wherever my pack currently resides> I googled.

This is the first time I’ve audibly heard God’s voice. Actually I should rephrase that. This was the first time I was incapable of talking myself out of believing I heard His voice. How cool is God? He answered me in the language I was praying. While it was quite vague lacking the obviously very specific details I was asking for. He still ANSWERED!! He, God of the Universe answered me, His creation. Isn’t it humbling?
