On day three of our road trip we got to visit one of the
most beautiful places I have ever seen. It’s called Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia.

We discovered that you could also go bungee jumping off a
bridge at the falls, and guess what popped into people’s heads. I have never
had the desire to plunge head first into a scary abyss hundreds of feet below,
but our team has been working on doing everything united and together. So I
joined the jumping bandwagon. First, we zip lined to the bridge. Second, before
bungeeing alone you get a partner to swing off the bridge with you. Woody and
I were the two that mostly didn’t want to jump off the bridge in the team, so
we partnered up to swing together. Standing on the small 2×4 before you plummet
is a very scary experience, but we both gathered our courage and took the step.
Each and every one of our team members jumped, even Woody!
Some of us were running on adrenaline and couldn’t wait to jump, and others
needed to hear “you can do this” and the assurance of “I’ll be watching” in
order to take the step. In the end we each felt the love for each other flow
between us. We all got through something together, and we did it with love. We
were there for each other, it was kind of cheesy to be running down the bridge
to go hug the person who just jumped, but it was worth it when you saw the huge
smile radiate from their face. It was an amazing experience, one that I don’t
know if I will ever experience again, but grateful that I got the chance
to.
