World Race/Expatriate Tip #1: Do not trust the overhead compartment on buses.  You will fall asleep and someone will steal your laptop.  Trust me.

So we had about a 7 hour ride to KM 17 (most of which were through really twisty, scary, bendy roads) from Quito.  The views were spectacular—so many waterfalls!!!  But unfortunately as one time my entire team fell asleep and someone stole my laptop.  Surprisingly I’m taking it really well!  First I’m grateful it was my computer not my camera and secondly my power cord was kept somewhere else so too bad for them!  My teammates have been kind enough to share but this does mean my blogs will probably be less frequent then I’d like and pictures will probably be lacking.  Lame.

When we arrived we discovered the pastor was only expecting us for a day not a month.  Ok…… but luckily some of the team were able to get a meeting with local pastors and now we have a plan!  We are no longer staying in the village but the “city” and will be traveling into really remote villages from here.  We are also on a preaching schedule—they have church Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Well my teammate needs to computer so I have to run, hopefully the next one will be a bit better with details and some awesome God stories!
