One of the beautiful things about the World Race is that stuff changes. We haven’t even left yet and stuff has changed. Most notably, our route. We will will no longer be going to Mozambique, Malaysia, or Ukraine. Instead we will be going to…. Wait for it…. Thailand, Turkey and Albania! Most squads probably aren’t that excited for route changes, but ours sure was. I’m kind of bummed that we won’t be able to go to Mozambique or Malaysia. But since I’ve already been to Malaysia, it’s time to try something new.
I’m most excited for is the chance to go to Turkey. A little over two years ago I was wrapping up Impact Bible School at my church. And for Pastor Chera’s missions class, our final was to research a country and plan a missions trip there. My country was Turkey. I started off knowing very little about it, and by the end, I couldn’t wait to go there. Who knew that in a few years I would be in Turkey serving God. It blows my mind.
