Here is a quick snippet into my life…

I was born and raised in a little town in upstate NY called Hornell, by loving parents who introduced me to Jesus at an early age. I have a large family that seems to keep on growing. I’m one of six kids, an aunt to 18 nieces and nephews, and a great aunt to 4.  I grew up in a Christian home and made a decision to accept Christ in my life when I was 9 yrs old. After a rebellious streak in high school and realizing that my faith was weak and was based more on my parents’ faith and what the church taught than my own belief,
I went to World of Life Bible Institute where I ended up making a dedication to live my life for Christ and not for myself.  I graduated from Liberty University (VA) where I studied business management and soon after, went on my first international missions trip to India, where I lived for 8 months.

India has a special place in my heart because its there that I gained a global perspective. God opened my eyes to the poor and oppressed and its where my desire to share the love of Christ to the unreached began to take root.  Since then, God has given me the opportunity to do missions to 10 other countries.

By day, Im a Web manager for a non-profit. I have an amazing family of friends in the DC area, and have been involved in some great ministries at my church called Frontline.  But even in the midst of all that, I feel like I have treaded a well worn path in my faith. I have become comfortable in my walk with God, comfortable in my little sacrifices of faith here and there, secure with my steady pay check and home to live in, comfortable in ministering to the needs of others, comfortable in my Christian community. If Im so comfortable, then why am I not satisfied? Why do I long for something more?

“If we discover a desire within us that nothing in this world can satisfy, also we should begin to wonder
if perhaps we were created for another world.”

    C. S. Lewis

The Apostle Paul talks about living a life through the authority and demonstration of the Spirits power in 1 Corinthians 2. Jesus himself, said that anyone who has faith in him will do the things he did, and in fact even greater things than he did.

For me, The World Race will begin a journey on a new path. A journey of simple living, and simply living!  A journey to learn what it is like to live out the power and authority of Christ.  A journey to a deeper place of worship and awe of God. A pilgrimage to follow Christ where He leads.
“Give me the love that leads the way, the faith that nothing can dismay, the hope no disappointments tire, the passion
that will burn like fire, let me not sink to be a clod: make me Thy fuel, Flame of God.”
