I never thought I would be given the chance to write this letter. The Lord has blessed me more than I had ever expected! As many of you know, I am a girl with a BIG heart. I've always been able to walk in other people's shoes with a desire to understand their personal stuggles. With this desire, God has led me to the World Race.
The World Race is a Christian organization, through Adventures in Missions, in which young adults from all over travel to 11 countries in 11 months to preach the Gospel of Christ to the nations. Beginning January 2014, my team and I will be traveling to South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Ireland, Ukraine and Romania.
While on the World Race, we will be serving alongside churches and ministries in local communities for one purpose: To share the love of Christ with 'the least of these'. By building churches, working in orphanages, and putting an end to human trafficking, we will bring faith, hope and love to lost and broken countries.
The cost of the entire trip is $15,500. This includes travel expenses, lodging, food and program costs. Though I am committed to saving as much of my own money as possible to be part of the World Race, I ask you to prayerfully consider donating. Your financial support can be give as a one-time gift, or a monthly donation in the amount you choose. I have calculated that if 35 people donate $50 a month for 9 months, I will be fully funded before I leave. Doesn't seem so unattainable when you break it down, huh?
