God has been opening my
eyes to so much lately…especially about myself.

I was reading Proverbs 7
(Wisdom Against the Adulteress).

I was so convicted
after reading this passage.

Most people don’t know
this, but when I was younger and I watched movies about how women
seduced men, I took mental notes. This seemed like the right
way to get attention from men, so I wanted to make sure that I
was a pro at it.

I was fascinated by
the seductress
….the way she moved, the way she spoke, the way
she dressed…everything!

I wanted to be able to
get whomever I wanted.

An old flame of mine actually called me out on this. He asked me why I always
wanted to watch movies that were about courtesans or geisha. I
didn’t think anything of it at the time, but then why have those
words stuck with me for so long
?

Once I really started
walking with the Lord, I quit those ways (or at least made an
effort to stop
).

What I didn’t realize was
that my behavior was still the same….it was just covered up by a
Christian coat.

As I read Proverbs 7, I
realized I was still displaying behavior of the adulteress.

This adulteress acts bold
and forward.
She throws herself at him, she makes the first
move, and she
pursues him. She leads him astray starting
with her speech…her smooth talk.

I don’t want a man:

  • to be with me
    because I approached him.

  • who is looking in my
    direction because I dressed provocatively.

  • who gives me
attention because I enticed him with my words.

  • who waits for me to
    make the first move.

Proverbs 11:22
Like a gold ring in
a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.

But how do I break these
bad habits, that I have trained myself in for so long?

I’m not really sure.

All I can say is I
have to repent for acting like a seductress, and ask God to teach me
how to be a bride.

I want a man to:

  • be attracted to me
for more than what he thinks of my appearance.

  • be blown away by my
character, my love for others, and because I am in love with Christ.

  • approach me and make
    the first move.
  • seek after me and
    pursue me.
I want to be like the
bride of one’s youth that my husband can rejoice in
(Proverbs
5:18-19)

A loving doe, a graceful
deer-

that I can satisfy him
always, that he would be captivated by my love.

Proverbs 31:10 A
wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than
rubies.

Jesus,

Thank you for your blood.
I am now your bride…wholly accepted and loved. Thank you
for teaching me how to live a life worthy of this title you have
given me.

P.S.

I
go home in 2 weeks! Crazy!

I
still need $4,529.77 to be fully funded.

Please
pray and consider supporting me financially.

If
I am fully funded, I will be able to come back on the field and pour
into my squad, during month 8 and month 11 debrief.

Thank
you so much for partnering with me, in guiding these awesome people,
into transformation and freedom.
