First of all…LAUNCH!

This Friday (3 days from now) I am packing up my life, saying my goodbyes and flying to LAX to meet up with my squad. Later that same day we are boarding a plane bound for Antigua, Guatemala. Leaving for a year to do God’s work all over the world is by far the craziest, scariest, and most exciting thing I’ve ever done and I am overwhelmed with all the last minute tasks I need to complete in order to launch later this week. Please pray for strength, peace, and safety this next week!

Second of all…SUPPORT UPDATE!
I would like to say THANK YOU to all my supporters! You are all awesome and God is going to bless each of you for your giving nature and loving spirit. In order to leave the country I needed $6,000 in my support account. Three weeks ago I only had $4,300 and that’s when I realized all of this was just pocket change to God. Fundraising had become such a burden to me because I was trying to do it all myself. Once I allowed God to work it only took 1 week AND NOW (drum role please) I have almost $11,000 (some in pledges)! Not only did I blow by this deadline but also the December deadline! I need less than $3,500 to be fully funded. God is so faithful and loving! Now do you see why this post is titled “God is good!” 🙂

Third of all… 🙂
Hi mommy and daddy! I wanted to start with you because there is no way I could be doing this without your love and support. Mom, thank you for providing me with a year supply of Malaria meds and an abundance of vaccinations. It’s nice to know that I probably won’t get deathly ill during my travels. And dad, thank you for investing so much in me. You bought all of my gear for me and even got me an international cell phone. Thank you for working so hard to make this dream of mine come true.
Joshie! You are the most wonderful boyfriend and I couldn’t ask for more. But I have to ask, what kind of a guy would enter into a relationship knowing the girl is preparing to leave the country for year? Seems rather silly to me but I’m sure glad you took a chance on me anyways. You are my best friend and I love you and I am going to miss you incredibly.
Cameron! Hello my sweet little nephew! I’m so glad I stayed in the states a couple more months so I could be there the day you were born and spend some time getting to know you. You are the sweetest, cutest, and most precious baby to me (a bit biased yes but oh well). Anyways, don’t forget who your favorite aunt is and I will resume spoiling you as soon as I return. I love you, Cami!
Elmo! I love you, my puppy! I will tell Joshie to give you many many treats and snuggles for me.
Aunt Sarah and Uncle Roger, I want to thank you personally for supporting me spiritually and financially. I really enjoyed our talks over this last year and they really encouraged me to keep going and to fight for the Kingdom. You were both a huge help and blessing to me during this process.

I love you all and I am going to do my best to stay in contact with you guys and post blogs regularly but please understand if it is difficult or scarce for internet may be limited in some countries. <3
