Whenever I tell people about the World Race they respond with, “Wow that’s cool…but are you crazy!?”

Why yes, yes I am.

I asked God to use me and He is. Although I had no idea God would send me on this crazy adventure to 11 different countries in 11 months, I am so unbelievably thankful for it.

Yes, I have to leave my family and friends behind.

Yes, I am leaving the calm of the familiar and comfortable.

Yes, I will be one year behind in college.

Yes, I have to raise $15,500.

But is it worth it??? Heck yeah!!!

When I first heard about the World Race I thought, “No way. I wish I could do something like that but that’s more for radical Christians.”

Well, God continued to bring it up in my life over and over and over again. I looked more into it, read about 3,000 blogs from current and past racers, and prayed for months about it. I was a little concerned about leaving school but then again, God is well-known for changing my plans.

God has shown up in some incredible ways and has made it completely idiot-proof for me that the World Race is exactly what He wants me to do.

So here I am 🙂

Some random quotes that have helped me and encouraged me in this process:

“Sometimes we are called to come down from the hill where the light is and step into the fog. We go there to help those who don’t know Him and to interpret the light when it reaches them. Let God burn the clouds away while we reach to His people.”

“The truly exciting part of following Jesus is that He never sends you into any situation with a faulty plan or plan to fail.”

“Jesus is worth losing everything else for.”
