The two women who make up the female portion of our alumni squad leader team are two women whom I look up to very much. They are leaving us this month so I want to take a moment to thank them and in this take a moment to let YOU my readers know how absolutely blessed I have been by them. They have played an important in my growth and my life on this race.
Dear Kelly

Kelly- you are a beautiful fantastic woman of God.
God created a unique, lovely daughter and sister in you.
Perfectly.
Thank you for being you. Thank you for opening up the dark places in your life for us. Thank you for modeling that wide open heart that we all desire to have and not being afraid to be open even when it was scary.
Thank you for saying the hard stuff in love. For putting things on the table that I was petrified to say for myself.
Thank you for pressing in.
God is going to do such terrific and lovely things through you. It’s unfathomable. You were created to help heal the hearts of those around you by the words God has given you. You are gifting in showing others how you heal in order to help them.
Thank you for all of our conversations- from sitting in the side room in the church in Chincha, Peru sweat covered and dirty to sitting in a beautiful café in Brasov Romania celebrating all that God has done and is going to do.
And thank you for shortly after my Grandma died- holding me while I cried.
Your strength is noticed. Your strength is needed. Your strength so clearly comes from God. And you live that out so well.
I am so grateful I got to say “see you later” in the middle of the train station in Kiev.
Thank you for all you have spoken into my life and how much you have blessed me.
You are a thriving, elegant, graceful woman of God.
I love you beautiful
Megs
Dear Tiffany,

I am thankful I am going to see you after I post this blog.
I remember my first conversation with you at training camp- sitting on a bench and telling you about my life.
And of course crying.
I remember my first long one on one with you outside in Ecuador and how I felt a weight off my shoulders by telling you how I felt about my life up to that point.
And crying some more.
I honestly can barely comprehend the part you have played in my race.
You are treasured.
Thank you for your honesty. Your reflections. Your heart.
Thank you for exactly who you are.
God made you so well.
Thank you for all of our conversations in almost every country. From being outside of Ana’s in Ecuador to sitting on outside in Trujillo, to breakfast and ice cream in Romania.
Each word you have spoke into my life I will hold onto. Thank you for being a person that I could let my tears fall in front of.
Thank you for being you no matter what.
I am excited to watch how God continues to use you to speak into people lives [including mine]. I am excited for your season of rest.
I am excited for your roots.
I love you girl.

[and a blessing until we meet again in whatever country [or on skype :)]
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
