So I should really be asleep. I work in the morning and I am in for a long emotional next week.
But after spending a few hours looking through my teammates facebooks and blogs I am wide awake!
So with that I wanted to share a little about me, who I am, where I've been.
So here it goes in bullet point form…
- My name is Meghan.
- I am 27
- my hobbies are writing, biking, and a new obbession with zumba
- I live in Newport Beach
- but
- I grew up in a small swedish town
- Kingsburg
- I have 2 older brothers
- I am the youngest and the only girl
- Both of my brothers are married
- two kids each
- Courtlyn and Cole
- Cameron and Haley
- I am affectionatly known as "Aunt Mega"
- I have been best friends with my best Jessica since preschool
- 24 years strong
- and she has beautiful twin daughters
- Jordana and Jocelyn
- and I am their Godmother
- I love singing
- I was in a choir from 2nd grade all the way through college
- And drama all through j-hi and high school
- Also worship teams
- I love singing gospel music
- I left my small swedish in August 03 to go to college
- and never really looked back
- I was in Women's Chorus at Vanguard [dub-c represent]
- I was in leadership two years
- librarian and el presidente
- I made some of the greatest friends a girl good have in college
- I was a minor in music
- and got a BA in English
- Graduated undergrad in 2007
- slowly but surely finishing my MA in Leadership and Spirituality
- BUT
- when I write I feel as if I should do nothing else
- I led a trip to Texas post hurricane katrina with two of my best friends/roommates
- and I taught English in China
- College was full of joy and heartbreak and love
- the last five years I have worked with kids ALL the time
- I love my preschool family
- They have helped me go through hell and back
- depression, family illness and getting hit by a car
- And because of all of this I love Jesus so incredibly much
- my life verse is weird
- nehemiah 4:15-18 [I'll explain later]
- the words and phrases that mark my season in life are tattoo-ed on my body

So there are just a few things about me. I should really sleep. 🙂
