"Matthew 7:7 "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.  Keep on seeking, and you will find.  Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you."

During worship tonight I was reflecting on my word of the month which is TRUST, and God reminded me all the ways that He proved himself faithful and trustworthy just in the past 3 days.  As He reminded me of all the prayers that had been prayed by my team I started writing down all the ways He had answered them.  Within 10 minutes I had 20 answered prayers…in just 3 days!!

  1. Monday morning He reunited our team after we were separated in taxi's on the way to the bus station in Managua.
  2. He provided a man at the bus station that let us use his phone in order to find the other half of our team.
  3. We were reunited in time to catch the express bus to Matagalpa.  Literally…the bus left at 9am and we found each other at 8:56am.  (The express bus means it doesn't stop every other minute to pick people up like the chicken bus.)
  4. Provided a bus in Matagalpa that allowed just enough time for a bathroom break before boarding.  (This is huge for some of my teammates.)
  5. Safety while we traveled.  The bus did not wreck, no one was robbed and nothing was stolen.
  6. Sent a truck to pick us up once we got off the bus and it was raining.  From the main road it is about a 3k walk down hill…with all of our stuff.
  7. We have an absoutely amazing ministry!! Vida Joven Campamento, Nicaragua (Young Life Camp).
  8. We have HOT showers!! It is exetremely cold in the mountains so this is such a blessing!!
  9. We have a fireplace for those cold nights!!
  10. We have amazing living conditions this month.
  11. Andrew found his debit card.
  12. There are more English speakers than we expected.  We are learning Spanish from them and they are practicing their English with us.
  13. The camp is cooking for us.  The portions are HUGE and the guys are LOVING IT!!  There is meat which makes them even happier!!
  14. Budget-the camp reduced what they are charging us for food to meet our budget.  ($25 to $5!!)  This is huge because the nearest town is a 3k walk and an hour bus ride away.  Would take an entire day to go to the market and buy food.
  15. We are working with some incredible men, whose live have been changed because of Young Life and they want to give back to help the next generation of kids coming up.  William and Mario!
  16. Team is working together side by side for the first time since launch.  We are becoming united!! For the first time we are LAUGHING, JOKING, and ENJOYING EACH OTHER!
  17. There is something for everyone to do!  We have several injuries on our team but there is work to do that even the injured can participate.  Whether we are in the coffee fields, compost piles, cleaning out the rooms getting ready for visitors….
  18. During the day the weather has been fantastic!!!  It hasn't rained on us while we are woring.  It isn't too hot, and during the day it isn't too cold.
  19. Safety while working.  Using machetes can be dangerous (William has lost part of 2 fingers to a machete swing.)
  20. After we saw the first snake (GROSS) we prayed and have seen no more snakes!!

Me and William!

Stay tuned the rest of the month as God continues to show me what TRUST looks like and means in my personal walk with Him.  I am excited to see what He has in store!!
