I hope this letter finds you and your family well!
First, I want to thank you for all the support, encouragement and love that you have always given me. The last few years have been amazing. My whole world has been turned upside down by the overwhelming love of Jesus. I have seen Him bless me in ways that I could never imagine. Most recently, I’ve been working as an assistant for an amazing small business in Oak Park. It has blessed my life in so many ways, fulfilling the desire of my heart to work in the culinary industry. But, since my first missions trip in May, God has placed a different calling on my life.
I am excited to announce that I was recently selected to join a team serving as missionaries through an organization, Adventures in Missions (AIM), in their World Race program. The World Race is a Christian mission’s trip for 21-35 year olds to 11 different countries in 11 months. My team and I are preparing for this adventure of a lifetime as we leave behind all that we know of home to bring the love of Christ across the globe. I am ready to be used by God, sharing the love that He has shown me with all that I meet. While on the Race, my team and I will do just this as we serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel and plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking and bring the hope and redeeming power of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
This is more than a mission’s trip to me; it is a dream come true. My heart has always longed to travel the world. To see, to taste, to smell, to touch and to experience all that this amazing world has to offer. I yearn now to touch the “untouchable”, to reach the “unreachable” and to love the “unlovable”. To bring the healing power and love of Christ wherever God calls me to go. And, my amazing God has called me on the adventure of a lifetime, a journey that I have been praying over for years. He has awoken within me the desire to love radically. Now, I am full of wonder as I wait in anticipation to watch what God is going to do in me, through me and around me.
My hope and my prayer is that you will consider joining me on this journey. My total financial need for my adventure to begin is $16,273, which will cover all expenses including traveler’s insurance for the 11 month trip. My goal is to be fully funded before my departure in July. Your financial support can be given as a one-time donation or as a monthly gift, in which you have the ability to choose a beginning and an end date. Whether or not you are able to financially contribute to my trip, I humbly ask that you support my team and me with prayer and encouragement.
