Friends, I have great news for you!
And I not only want you to hear me but I want you to believe me when I say…
The Lord has GRAND plans for you!
Plans that are bigger than your expectations.
Plans that are bigger than you can think.
Plans that are bigger than the box you have put them in.
And you know why?
Because His power is residing in you.
It’s taken a home in you.
And it’s at work within you.
So dream.
Dream BIG.
Don’t put your dreams in a box.
Don’t put yourself in a box.
Because by doing that, you are putting the God of the universe in a box.
The God that spoke light into existence.
The God that breathed life into our lungs.
The God that makes the blind see, the lame walk and the deaf hear.
And the God that raised Jesus from the dead.
By withholding your dreams, you are neglecting the greatness, the power, the vastness of our God.
This is exactly what the Lord reminded me of in my ATL month in South Africa.
That I live for a God who doesn’t work within perimeters.
And He doesn’t expect me to dream within them either.
He didn’t put 24 year old Courtney in a box when He asked her to move from her Alabama home and start her own African ministry for children at risk.
He didn’t put Alyssa in a box when He asked her to move and establish “Ubunto Youth Ministry” just weeks after her college graduation.
He didn’t put Natalie in a box when He asked her to start “Redlight” Ministries to rescue women from the sex-trafficking industry.
He didn’t put restrictions on their dreams. And I know He doesn’t have restrictions on mine.
Psalms 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Many times this verse is taken out of context and understood as if you are faithful to the Lord, being a good child of God, only then will He grant you your hearts’ desires.
But the true meaning lies in if you are truly delighting yourself in the Lord, your desires will be His desires. And His desires always prevail.
So there’s no fear in dreaming.
No fear of failure.
No fear of the Lord having “other path.”
No fear of being “the exception” to the other dream fulfillers.
Because when you are delighting yourself in the Lord, your heart will be in alignment with His.
His dreams will always be your dreams.
Because He is the One writing them on your heart.
So what has caused you to keep your dreams in a box? Or not dreaming at all?
What is stopping you from going after the dreams the Lord has written on your heart?
Is it fear? Is it unbelief? Not trusting? Or maybe the way you see yourself?
But know that you have His power dwelling in you.
It’s taken a home in you.
And it’s working within you.
So don’t be afraid to DREAM BIG.
And expect even BIGGER.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20
