The past 2 nights have been crazy windy. Last night our balcony door blew open and was a beast to get closed and locked. The night before we were in a housing unit made of tarps and plastic panels. At 5 am I was awake and these words kept running through my head so I sat up and wrote them down.

Yes! The walls are shaking.

Yes! Things are being thrown around.

Structures are being ripped down.

Dust is flying about.

Yes! Work is being done.

I am at work.

Hear Me.

The I AM is at work.

He and only He commands the wind and the waves.

He and only He can heal the hearts of the broken.

He and only He can bring lasting change to this world.

So let the dust fly!

Let the walls shake!

Let the world crumble!

None of these have the power to stand against the Great I AM.

He is doing work.

He has not forsaken you.

Trust in Him.

Pray that in small moments like these I will continue to seek Jesus.

Pray that my squad will be able to leave well. Sunday is my last day on Lesvos.

Pray that the volunteers that are still here and will come can continue to show God’s love.
